People, Places & Things returns Live!!!! Broadcasting from the studio of G-Town Radio (www.gtownradio.com)I (Charing Ball) gets up close and personal with Lori Tharps, who is best known for penning Hair Stories: Untangling the Roots of Black Hair in America and is one of the feature memoirist in this year's First Person Festival, running Nov. 11-16 here in Philadelphia. Tharps will discuss her recent memoir, Kinky Gazpacho: Life, Love & Spain, which is an exploration of the complexities of interracial romance, one she found while living in Spain and investigating that country's slave heritage.
ALso, live in studio is Lise Funderburg, author of Pig Candy: Taking My Father South, Taking My Father Home, who will discuss her own First Person event, Relative History, being co-hosted by Author Daniel Mendelson.
